Coping with Change

This week Mrs. Stephenson came to our class to talk about change. We are nearing the end of grade 3 and that means students will be transitioning to a new school next year for grade 4. As we discussed, there are a lot of feelings that come with change. We played a game using four emotions: happy, sad, worry, angry. Mrs. Stephenson read out situations and asked students to move to the emotion they would feel. We will be seeing Mrs. Stephenson again over the next few weeks to do some more fun activities to do with change.

Name some feelings or emotions.

What are coping strategies?

The Cultural Fair

Recently we had the opportunity to travel down to the other K-3 school in our town to check out their Cultural Fair. It was so cool to see these projects and have a little taste from a different culture! This is one of the first of many opportunities we will have in the coming months to bring our grade 3’s together before they all head off to middle school in the fall.

Which country did you find the most interesting?

Enjoy the Summer!

The last day of school is upon us. For the grade 3’s that means they will be off to middle school in the fall. We will all miss them dearly! Here is a video of the grade 3’s celebrating at the Amazing Race with the other grade 3’s in our area.

To the grade 2’s, I will see you in the fall 🙂

Enjoy your summer, everyone!

My Pedagogy

Pedagogy is the science and art of education. Here is a collection of some of my personal highlights over the past two years at our school. I am so pleased to be back at our school again in the fall :)!
