Down on the Farm

Yesterday we had a special trip to a farm near our community. This farm grows a lot of vegetables! We also got to pick out some pumpkins to carve later this week – yay! Here are some photos of our day:

Grade 3 Transition to Middle School

In our school district students go to Elementary School for kindergarten to grade 3, Middle School for grade 4 to grade 7, and High School for grade 8 to grade 12. To prepare for the transition in the fall, we have started getting together with the grade 3’s at the other Elementary School in our town.

What was your favourite part about meeting the other grade 3’s?

Today, the principal of the Middle School visited our school to answer any questions the grade 3’s may have.

Do you have any other questions about Middle School for Ms. Johnson or Mrs. MacLeod?

Today we had our first Recognition Assembly. We will be having three more of these throughout the year. At these assemblies, each class usually presents something to show what they are learning about. For this assembly, our class talked about making the apple sauce we brought home for thanksgiving. Here are some pictures of us making apple sauce *I will try and upload a video of our performance at the assembly later*:

Our next assembly will be our Remembrance Day assembly in November. Together as a school we will be singing a beautiful rendition of the song, “Hallelujah”. You can find the lyrics here or under Learning Links in the Songs section.
