We had a fantastic tea with seniors from our community to end our week. Students in our class got to serve coffee, tea, and cookies to our special guests while talking to them about fair trade and why we have this sale.

starts. Our class performed this book as a choral reading at our assembly yesterday with Mrs. Sharpe’s class. Maylyn was one of the MCs for the assembly:

On Friday, our school will be hosting our annual Ten Thousand Villages sale and our class will be hosting a tea as a pre-sale for seniors in our community.

Today is Remembrance Day. We had our assembly yesterday and our class did very well presenting I Have the Right to Be a Child by Aurélia Fronty.
We have been talking a lot about our rights and freedoms that we are so lucky to have here in Canada.
We also had a chance to talk about animals in war. Students received a newspaper to check out some interesting Tales of Animals in War.

Why are we so lucky to live in Canada?
In classrooms around our school, the first 15 minutes of every day are spent doing Choice time activities. After students in our class have retrieved their ball from the gym and opened their planner on their desk, they are welcome to engage in many different activities in our classroom while socializing with their classmates. This helps everyone settle in for the day at school. Here are some of their choices:
