We had a fantastic morning filled with fun outdoor activities this week to celebrate Take Me Outside Day!
It was a great day to be outside and enjoy some of the treats we made 🙂 #TakeMeOutsideDay #sd6outside pic.twitter.com/Pr20H4HjKX

Today we read this book:
It is all about playing with technology too much and forgetting what is around you and what is important. This is a great reminder as we lead up to Take Me Outside Day on Wednesday. Thanks to Mrs. Sharpe for letting us borrow this story!
What did you notice about the pictures in this book?
What was the message in this story?Â
Lots of us are quite excited about the Toronto Blue Jays (Canada’s ONLY Major League Baseball Team) and how well they have been doing in the post-season so far.
One of our classmates, Payton, got to go and see the Blue Jays play in Seattle earlier this year!
Do you watch or play Baseball?
Do you have a favourite sports team? If so, who is it and what sport?
We have been reading the story, “Mr. Peabody’s Apples” and doing many activities with the book. Our final project was to sew our own pillows. It was tricky, but everyone did such a good job. After we were finished stitching up the sides and stuffing our pillows we ended up taking scissors to the middle of our pillow. We were able to stitch this back up. This relates to the special message in “Mr. Peabody’s Apples”.
What is the message in Mr. Peabody’s Apples?
How was it sewing your own pillow?
Today we started to learn how to code using the Code Studio! You can find the link under our Learning Links tab at the top. This year our class received a grant from SET-BC for technology in our classroom to help us learn how to code. We were very excited to get started 🙂
What is the language of computers called?
What do you think we can do when we learn how to code?
