Our class has been learning about life in the Arctic this winter, for humans and for animals! We read this story, written by a local author and illustrated by a local artist, to learn more about polar bears. Together, we learned how to draw polar bears and illustrated our backgrounds with the Northern Lights. Next, we wrote our own endings to the story through the perspective of either Nina, the female cub, or Nikita, the male cub.
