Today was our Christmas concert! We had two performances – one in the day and one in the evening. The whole school did a really good job :). Way to go grade 3’s!
What was your favourite part of the Christmas concert?
Today we went skating with the whole school! In the new year we will be going on a few more skating trips as a class during the winter season.
What is your experience with skating? Hockey? Figure Skating?
This week our class got to make stockings! Thank you very much to all of the parent volunteers who came in to help us! Great sewing, grade 3’s!
Where are you going to put your stocking when you take it home?
How did you make your stocking? Was it hard?
We have a special visitor in our class for the month of December. It is an elf sent from the North Pole who we named Zack. He watches our behaviour at school all day and reports back to Santa each night to help create the Naughty or Nice List. Every day when we arrive back at school, we find our elf in a different spot!
This week as part of our Structures unit in science, we have been making bridges! Students were given 15 popsicle sticks and a piece of tape to make a bridge from desk to desk. Next, we tested the bridge strength with weights.
How could you make your bridge stronger?
